September Economic Equity Spotlight!

DSM SURJ is pushing economic equality by using our large network to thoughtfully support people of color owned businesses and other enterprises in the Des Moines area. This strategy has been used in many cities to redirect resources to companies that have had additional burdens towards developing sustainable businesses.

We’ll highlighting up to 4 businesses each month.

Please make efforts to support these businesses–and spread the word in your various networks! A SURJ member has had direct communication with each of these businesses owners and they are excited to be highlighted by the Des Moines chapter.

(Also, if you have a business you would like to nominate for the spotlight, please forward the information to a member of the leadership team.)

  • Bottle & Bottega

Bottle & Bottega hosts art parties where attendees are guided to create their own art while they eat, drink, and make merry. It’s not an Art Class–It’s an ART PARTY! Scratch the structure. Lose the lecture. Bottle & Bottega is all about friends, a canvas, and a bottle of wine. The only lesson to learn: You DO have an inner artist just waiting to be realized!  This event is NOT BYOB. We look forward to seeing you there!
