Friday Immigration Justice Actions

Lights for Liberty at Polk County Jail this Friday, 7/12 7:30 pm 1985 NE 51st Pl, Des MoinesLights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Detention Camps, will bring thousands of Americans to detention camps across the country, into the streets and into their own front yards, to protest the inhumane conditions faced by refugees. Join other Iowans at the Polk County Jail to protest against these atrocities. This will be a demonstration and a candlelight vigil. The organizers have reserved a section of the parking lot at the jail and are in the process of organizing ride shares to the event from the Capitol.

The rally will end with a (battery-operated) candlelight vigil and a moment of silence.
